In an emotional ceremony, the Peruvian Badminton Sports Federation inaugurated the Walk of Fame and Museographic Mural of Peruvian Badminton at the Sports Center 2 of La Videna. This historic event was attended by prominent athletes, authorities and personalities from the national level.
The president of the federation, Gonzalo Castillo Guzmán, offered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of this space as a tribute to the athletes who have marked a legacy in the history of badminton in Peru. “This Walk of Fame is a symbol of effort, dedication and national pride,” he said.
The ceremony included the unveiling and presentation of the museographic mural designed by architect Yalile Trefogli. This mural reflects the career of Peruvian badminton players and their outstanding participation in international competitions, as well as the different efforts they have directed the federation throughout history.
One of the most significant moments was the discovery of the mural, which pays tribute to emblematic figures of national badminton, including champions and medalists who have brought the name of Peru to the most important sporting stages in the world. Attendees were not only delighted with the work of art, but also with the opportunity to hear the anecdotes of some of the honored athletes.
The ceremony closed with a tour of the Walk of Fame, where attendees were able to closely appreciate the contributions of the entire community to the growth of badminton in the country.
The event ended with an honor toast, where guests shared anecdotes and moments of celebration, reaffirming the commitment to continue promoting this sport in Peru.
