ISTANBUL (AA) – In the 3rd week of the ING Women’s Basketball Super League, Fenerbahçe Opet defeated Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring 82-73 on its field.

Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring, who scored from behind the 3-point line against the yellow-dark blue team, who used the pot well in the match played in front of full stands at Fenerbahçe Metro Enerji Sports Hall, finished the first period ahead 18-16.

In the second quarter, the yellow-red team continued to be effective with outside shots. Fenerbahçe, on the other hand, scored baskets from under the basket and from fast attacks. While Galatasaray scored 24 points from outside shots in the first half, Fenerbahçe scored 26 points from the painted area. The yellow-dark blue team went to the locker room with a 42-38 advantage.

Recovering in the fourth period, Galatasaray reduced the difference to 4 points in the 36th minute with Derin Erdoğan’s basket from behind the 3-point line: 69-65. Fenerbahçe Opet, which widened the gap with critical points in the remaining period, won the derby 82-73.

Fenerbahçe achieved its 9th consecutive victory in the Women’s Basketball Super League against Galatasaray.
