The national team has… Test match won against European champions England 4:3 (3:2) – a first success for the new national coach Christian Wück. Captain Giulia Gwinn (4th minute, penalty kick/11th) and Klara Bühl (29th) gave the German team a 3-0 lead after less than half an hour. Sara Däbritz (72nd, penalty kick) later sealed the DFB women’s victory. Bayern’s Georgia Stanway (33′, penalty kick/36′) and Lucy Bronze (81′) scored for the hosts.

The German team continues in Duisburg on Monday. In Wück’s home debut against Australia (6.10 p.m./ZDF), long-time captain Alexandra Popp will play her 145th and final international match. Central defender Marina Hegering and goalkeeper Merle Frohms are also said farewell, but without further action.
