The Argentine player reached the quarterfinals, after adding two previous wins.
In the recently held Peru International Series 2024 BFW International Series badminton tournament, Iona Gualdi had an outstanding performance in reaching the quarterfinals. In her first match, she managed to beat the Peruvian Francesca Carozzi with a score of 2-1, (21-11, 12-21 and 21-15). Her good performance continued in the round of 16, where she defeated the Brazilian Maria Julia Da Cruz 2-0 (21-15 and 21-12).
However, in the quarterfinals, Gualdi met the Guatemalan Nikte Sotomayor, who was superior and won the match with a clear 2-0 (21-7 and 21-10), which led Gualdi to finish in the fifth place in the tournament.
Also, Iona Gualdi participated with her coach in a camp to which she was invited by the Pan American Federation.
