The captain of the Premier League leaders is in the final year of his contract. Van Dijk arrived at Anfield in January 2018.
Sporting director Richard Hughes is in discussions with Van Dijk’s agent about his future at Liverpool. It is not yet known for how many seasons the Dutch international can possibly sign.

Van Dijk won the national title, Champions League, FA Cup and EFL Cup with Liverpool. Earlier in his career, the centre-back also won twice with Celtic.
