Piedmont International Grand Prix 2024

The 2024 Piedmont International Grand Prix aired at Palamaggiore in Leinì on Sunday 13 October, with 316 athletes from the Junior and Senior categories, 82 technicians, representing 15 regions.

The excellent organization of CR Piemonte Fabrizio Marchetti and Roberto Borgis ensured that the race ran smoothly, also giving the right importance to the final block matches.

Leinì’s new sports councillor, Andrea Gilestro, commented: “As a municipal administration we are very happy that our municipal hall, through the Fijlkam events, is always full of life, but above all that it does so with a highly educational sport like judo, where the technical and physical confrontation is always based on ethics and respect, elements that are more important today than ever for our society.” In addition to the Sports Councilor of the Municipality of Leinì, the Regional President of CONI Stefano Mossino and the National Councilor Andrea Regis were present

A day full of competitive spirit and passion for judo, saw the Fiamme Azzurre prevail in the men’s ranking by club, followed by Accademia Torino and Dojo Sacile, while in the women’s field the top step of the podium went to Akiyama seventh, Pro Recco judo in second place, Nuova Florida in third.
