Jadrian Clark honored by university

In 2017, Jadrian Clark graduated with a degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Weber State University (WSU) in Ogden, Utah, United States. By then, he also played quarterback for the Wildcats and became one of the best in Weber State football team history.

Now the current two-time champion of the European League of Football was back at his former university for the first time since 2017 to accept an award. During Homecoming weekend, Clark was one of eight Weber State alumni honored with the WSU Salutes Award. It is intended to recognize graduates who have “led outstanding lives, made a difference in the community or otherwise contributed to WSU’s success and reputation.”

Clark received the award as an “outstanding young graduate,” meaning a former student who has achieved outstanding achievements within ten years of graduation.

When it comes to quarterback, the most important thing is of course his sporting career: Clark is now one of the best players in Europe and has won numerous titles, not least the two ELF championships with Rhein Fire in a row. According to the WSU statement, the fact that Clark continues to study in England and gets his master’s degree also played a role.

The 30-year-old also attended a game with his old team this weekend in Utah, which lost 17:21 to Northern Colorado. Clark posted pictures on social media of his visit to the field, the team’s dressing room and also the WSU Salutes Awards ceremony.

Clark wrote: “I am honored to be recognized with such an award and to reunite with former teammates, coaches and the university president. I am grateful for the memories that connect me to this place. Weber State will always feel like home.”
