It has helped me overcome many adversities that I often believed that maybe I couldn’t overcome it, but thanks to the effort, sacrifice and all the values that have been instilled in me, I have managed to move forward,” says Linger, who suffered a major injury in his career. a torn cruciate ligament in training and that left him out of the Spanish Championship.

For Linger, there are several ways in which her school is different from the others: “We have children from three years old and we take it to the adult stage, always training with a multilevel program so that it is appropriate for the ages of the children. Our teaching program is made by psychologists y pedagogues. “It is what makes the difference from the rest of the schools that follow a different methodology.”

Javier Linger started teaching when he was 16 years old. “Since I was little I have always liked being with children and I have always been with my teacher helping her teach classes. That encouraged me to be able to start in this sport to instill in children the values of judo,” he says. “I dedicate myself inbody and soul to my school for 24 hours a day. “I am attentive to every detail that affects our students, in terms of, for example, kimonos or teaching them a good age-specific program and, above all, being attentive to all categories.”

Linger seeks to evolve to be well trained for his students, with their mentors Rafael Ortega and his wife, who have been with him since he was little. At Javier Linger’s school, they also seek to share the students’ process with their parents. That’s why he was born Judolandia. “It is a party that we always have at Christmas, which is where all the parents come to see their children practice judo at our school. We have three very marked exhibitions because during Easter there is the Kangeiko and in June we have the Festival of Ajalvir. All of them have a different theme, especially so that the children are motivated when working in their classes and thus so that all our families can check how their children work and they can see their teachers how they dedicate themselves to the students,” says Linger. And he points out the most complicated thing about teaching judo: “Getting into the students’ heads so that they do the things that we teach them is the most difficult thing. We try to continue training students contributing our grain of sand to education and the training of people“. And the best thing about teaching is “being with my students because it is my second family. I feel super lucky to raise a child from three years old to adulthood and watch him grow. Many adult students bring their children to me to continue practicing. and to continue educating them with judo”.
