Margherita Isoni, of the Judo Club La Maddalena, is completing her preparation for the final of the Italian A2 Cup, which will take place in Lignano Sabbiadoro next Saturday 26 October. A good result for her, this qualification, which will see her compete at high levels, and for her father-coach, maestro Antonio Isoni.
Results, he says of Margherita, “which highlight her abilities and tenacity”. Master Isoni, however, regrets another of his athletes, Valentino Soru, who did not reach the finishing line of the finals, despite having excellent fights, however highlighting “his skills and tenacity”. More than satisfactory results were then achieved, in the Sardinian regional championships for cadets, by Clelia Cherchi, who won the bronze medal, «a recognition of her talent and preparation», and Veronica Spina, who by finishing fourth, «demonstrated have all it takes to achieve even more ambitious goals in the future.”
Another reason for satisfaction, for maestro Isoni, was given to him by the debutant Nicole Pisano, «who at just 12 years old was called up with the Sardinian selection to participate in the prestigious CONI trophy, held in Palermo from 3 to 5 October».
