Judo youth at the Steppipokal Steinheim
Our Louis had a great debut in the world of competition at the Steppipokal in Kirchberg! It was his first tournament ever and he did well.
The competition began for his group with an exciting Stone Age course. Here the little judoka had to demonstrate their skills in various tasks.
Afterwards, things really started: the judo competition! In his first fight, his opponent was almost able to surprise him when he tried a twisting technique, but Louis fought back so much that it was only half a score for his opponent. The fight remained exciting until the end, but ended in a draw.
In the second fight, Louis had the upper hand. He was able to turn his opponent around and put him in a good position. Unfortunately, he released the hold a little too early, so the fight continued. This round also ended in a draw.
In the last fight his opponent caught him again with a quick technique. That was a shame, but Louis still put up a great fight.
In the end, Louis ended up in third place – a great result for his first competition! He obviously had a lot of fun with the tournament.
