Judoka Ana Lucía Álvarez will compete in the National, heading to the Pan American – El Sol de Sinaloa

Culiacán, Sin.- The director general of the Municipal Institute of Sports and Physical Culture, José Alberto Beltrán Figueroawished the best of luck to the judoka Ana Lucía Álvarez Lópezwho will represent Culiacan along with other athletes in the National Judo Championshipwhich will take place from October 17 to 20 in Morelia. This event will be selective for him Pan-American of the specialty, which will be held in Varadero, Cuba.

“The mayor Juan de Dios Gámez Mendívilhas given us the instruction to support all athletes, especially those who have excelled in different national events“, he added.

Ana Lucia expressed his gratitude, highlighting that the support of the mayorthrough the Municipal Institute of Sports and Physical Culture (IMDEC), has been essential to facilitate their participation in various competitions.

He coach Eduardo Rivera confirmed that the delegation is made up of 27 athletesof which 20 are from Culiacan y seven of The Rosary.

“Thank you very much, director, for your support. The truth is that you have always extended your hand to us and we are very grateful for that. And have confidence that all of us who go will give everything for our municipality”he added Rivera.

Ana Lucia, two-time national champion in the category of 13-14 years in the 53 kgwill also compete in the category of 15-17 years. In this new division, they will begin their path to score points and look for a place in the National Team with the aim of participating in world-class international events.
