Five months after his election as head of the Eure-et-Loir departmental judo committee, Julien Cottet, 40, was entrusted with a new mission, at the end of the elective general assembly, as president. of the French Federation of Judo and associated disciplines (FFJDA)*. The one who is also president of the Eure-et-Loir order of doctors will lead the partnerships department.
How did you end up being on Stéphane Nomis’ list?
I met him in January, when I was starting the campaign for the presidency of committee 28. We got along straight away, he liked the projects I had in mind. He then contacted me again to ask me to join his team. I couldn’t refuse.
For what ?
I don’t have a high-level sporting background like some members of the list (Frédérique Jossinet, Émilie Andeol, Gévrise Emane, etc.) but I have know-how that I have been cultivating since medical school. I have always liked building private and public partnerships. Negotiation has always fascinated me. So when Stéphane offered me this role, I didn’t hesitate for long, as I had a lot of respect for the work done by his team on the last Olympiad…
Are you talking about the sports record?
