Kohima Press Club hosts annual sports meet | MorungExpress

Kohima, October 13 (MExN): The Kohima Press Club (KPC) held its annual sports event at the Indoor Stadium Kohima, bringing together members to compete in various sporting disciplines such as Arm Wrestling, Table Tennis, Target Shooting, Badminton, and Darts. The event aimed to promote a spirit of camaraderie and teamwork among participants, creating an atmosphere of friendly competition.

During the event, KPC Senior Member H.K. Chishi presented certificates and cash prizes to the winners, celebrating their achievements. KPC President Alice Yhoshü expressed her gratitude to the members for their enthusiastic participation. She also extended her thanks to Deputy Chief Minister T.R. Zeliang and MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu for sponsoring the prize money, which added to the excitement of the event.

Yhoshü further acknowledged the support of several organizations, including the Nagaland Darts Association, Nagaland Olympics Association, Youth Resources and Sports, Kohima District Table Tennis Association, and Kohima District Badminton Association. Their contributions to the event’s logistics were instrumental in its success.

In Arm Wrestling, Loreni Tsanglao emerged as the champion in the women’s category, while Siddhant Biswakarma claimed victory in the men’s division. Target Shooting saw Medolenuo Ambrocia take home the championship title, demonstrating precision and skill.

Table Tennis was another highlight of the event, with Loreni Tsanglao winning the women’s singles, and Neidilhoutuo Sechü emerging as the champion in the men’s singles. The mixed doubles event saw Neidilhoutuo Sechü and Alice Yhoshü team up for victory.

In Badminton, Medolenuo Ambrocia showcased her talent by winning the women’s singles, while Neidilhoutuo Sechü continued his winning streak in the men’s singles category. The mixed doubles competition was won by Neidilhoutuo Sechü and Ketholeno Neihu.

Finally, Siddhant Biswakarma added to his accolades by winning the Darts competition.
