Konrad Laimer accepts his current role as a reservist at FC Bayern Munich, but wants to change his situation as quickly as possible.
“That’s football. I play for FC Bayern Munich and it’s not a question of whether you play or not. It’s, as they say, a ‘shark tank’, you have to establish yourself,” said the defensive player in the frame a press conference for the Austrian national team.
Laimer added: “Of course there is a lot of competition and good players. There are so many games this season. I will give it my all and I know I have what it takes.”
Coach Vincent Kompany has so far relied on the duo of Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlovic in defensive midfield. New signing João Palhinha is also currently looking into the tube.
