Los Angeles (dpa). The Los Angeles Dodgers also won Major League Baseball’s second World Series finale. The Californians won 4-2 against the New York Yankees one day after the 6-3 start. This means the Dodgers are still two wins short of winning the World Series. The LA team last managed it four years ago. The third game is on Monday (local time) in New York.
Only the impending loss of superstar Shohei Ohtani depressed the Dodgers’ mood. The Japanese suffered a shoulder injury in the second game. «We will have to do some tests. “We’ll know more after that,” said manager Dave Roberts. Ohtani signed a ten-year contract last December that will bring him a total of $700 million (around €648 million).
