Last year’s StarDance winner Dominik Vodička: Slaps at the first training!

Martina, as a kickboxer, you have an advantage over the other women in the competition, that if someone attacked you at the night Exhibition Center after the broadcast, you wouldn’t have a chance!

Martina: “Now I would rather scare him with my cha-chou and move away with a rhumb step away. I don’t know how crazy I am.’

Dominik: “Martina pleased me now that she was at kickboxing training after a long time and she told me that she came there and had a strange feeling. She didn’t understand why those people were beating each other all of a sudden.’

Martina: “No, it really scared me a little! I told myself to try to recover. The first five minutes I found it too harsh and it didn’t make sense to me. Fortunately, I then hit my bag and it was back right away.”

Dominik: “That’s what’s amazing about how dancing changes people. I expected this more in December after StarDance, but the fact that Martina started to feel this before the broadcast, so that’s unique for me.”

Dominik’s gym ban still applies?

Martina: “That really bothered me. We disagreed on that. I listened to him, but it got on my nerves terribly. He told me that my muscles must fall off. It makes me depressed and it provokes me terribly.’

Dominik: “It’s more like I’m depressed because of you. At the first training, she really had bumps on her hands!’

Martina: “I’ve gotten used to it a bit, but I feel weak, so hungry. Before that I felt soaked, which I’m not now.’

Dominik: “I think it’s good.”

Martina: “Okay, if we compare it to you, it’s something else.”

“Sešmajdaná” Martina Ptáčková: Pain due to a crushed foot!

Who lifts whom more in training? There was a video on social networks showing Martina carrying Dominika!

Martina: “That was an exaggeration, but we fool around for two minutes during the training session and really work hard. He is strict. Sometimes we frown at each other. Because I am completely desperate for myself, Dominik thinks I am too. He shows me something, expects it to work and it doesn’t. He does three loops, a full stop, and tells me to do it again. And I don’t understand at all where my left and right sides are.’

Dominik: “We have to condense everything that awaits us into one second. Martina had no preparation, she had a handicap, she cheated and took everything by force, so it was important for us to make the most of the two months of training. Many times I told her ten pieces of information at once and she had to process them.’

Which of you is more explosive?

Dominik: “You can’t say that, but I have to admit that I have a hard hand during training. It’s great, I really like it. I didn’t have it at all with the other girls. At first, Martina didn’t know anything about dancing, her body wasn’t working, although she does excellent boxing, but dancing requires completely different things. I leaned into her and she struggled to show it off to everyone. Hopefully we can break the trend of boxers getting knocked out in the first round!”

Martina: “Perhaps in the first lesson, I basically slapped Dominique during the dance. We have a favorite play in our sport – slapped and this looked exactly the same.”

Dominik: “It’s written in the contract that he can’t hurt me, so I’m covered!”
