Laval hosts the Quebec Archery Championship this weekend

The <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2024/10/the-weather-does-not-slow-down-the-best-quebec-archers-at-levis-paquette-park/" title="The weather does not slow down the best Quebec archers at Lévis-Paquette Park“>Laval-Ouest Archers Club will host the Quebec Outdoor Archery Championship from August 30 to September 1.

The event, which is organized in collaboration with Tir à l’arc Québec, will take place at Lévis-Paquette Park, in Chomedey.

More than 90 high-level archers are expected for this competition on concentric targets. Laval resident Virginie Chénier, who participated in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, notably confirmed her registration.

Access to the competition will be free for visitors who wish to attend.

Hourly

The Quebec Double Round 720 Championship will take place on Saturday, August 21. The first round will begin at 9:00 a.m., while the second round will begin at 1:45 p.m. In both cases, archers will shoot 72 arrows and will be allowed a short break after the first 36.

The medal ceremony is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on this day.

The 720 rounds on Saturday will also serve as qualification for all archers participating in the Quebec Open on Sunday, September 1. The senior/junior and cadet/master categories will be paired for both the recurve bow division and the compound bow division.

The individual elimination rounds of the Quebec Open are scheduled to take place on the same day. The competitions will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Note that the Quebec Open is open to all categories if there are enough participants. However, there will be no competition in any category that does not include a minimum of three archers.
