LeBron and Bronny James make history, the Lakers defeat the Timberwolves

LeBron James and Bronny James became the first father-son duo to play together in an NBA game on Tuesday when the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 110-103.

LeBron and Bronny took the court together with four minutes left in the second quarter, drawing a big ovation from the crowd. LeBron started the game and played 13 minutes before teaming up with his 20-year-old son to make history.

LeBron is 39 years old and the leading scorer in NBA history, while Bronny was a second-round draft pick of the Lakers last summer. They are the first father-son duo to play at the same time in the best basketball league in the world.

Lebron totaled 16 points, while Bronny recovered a ball under the baskets in three minutes.

Ken Griffey and Ken Griffey Jr. were present for the occasion, when they achieved the same feat in major baseball. They played 51 games together with the Seattle Mariners in 1990 and 1991.

The two duos met before the match to take a few photos.

LeBron, a four-time NBA champion and 20-time All-Star, first spoke about his dream of playing with his son a few years ago. His dream took shape when his son was drafted with the 55th overall selection earlier this year.
