They have grown a lot in the last two years — not just in numbers, but in their skills — and have gone from strength to strength.
“Some of these women have been through so much adversity and deserve this opportunity, and we are thrilled that we were able to get them here and the players have been fantastic and welcoming. It is certainly a day they will remember for a long time.”
Steph Leese, a member of the traveling football team, added: “It was an absolutely amazing opportunity to come to Melwood to meet the first women’s team. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. It was amazing to meet them after watching them at Anfield on Sunday and it’s simply an experience that money can’t buy
.
“It was an incredible day and I can’t put into words how much it means to me to be at Melwood, meet the team and have a day beyond my wildest dreams.”
