Oswald Tanchot (Grenoble coach): “First, I’m going to talk about football. We lacked consistency in the first half. We weren’t off topic but we lost the ball too quickly and we made mistakes. At 2-0, it’s hard to come back. In the second, we raised the level and were threatening until the end. Maybe we could have brought something back. Afterwards, I cannot ignore the arbitration which still has an impact. Whistling when the goalkeeper takes time to clear, I agree provided that the referees do it every weekend on all pitches. In addition, there were incidents of play such as two offside situations called against us which were completely non-existent. The feeling of always being refereed in the same direction in this match gave us a bit of a headache. This is not an explanation for our defeat but we cannot hide these decisions. But it is true that we lack consistency outside. »
Stéphane Gilli (Paris FC coach): “The first feeling is the satisfaction of having beaten a great team from Grenoble. At the same time, we must remain measured because we have not done everything well. We responded for sixty minutes and it got more complicated after that. It was perhaps a question of freshness because we had three days less recovery since we played last Monday. I still remember everything we were able to do in the first half. We could even have scored more. Not everything was perfect but it corresponds to what we want to put in place. We also know that we still have work to do. »
