From Friday until next Sunday, the European Police and Firefighters Championship is being held in Braga, Portugal, a competition with 48 sports and skill tests for police, firefighters and all emergency services.
The Local Police of Tui and judoka, Lino Martínez, went to this locality to compete in the modalities of JUDO and JIUJITSU, both with kimono (GI) and without kimono (non-GI).
On Saturday it was the turn of JUDO, spectacularly organized by the Viana do Castelo Judo Association and JUVALENÇA, where Lino Martínez rose to the top of the podium after having won all his fights, proclaiming himself Champion of Judo for the second consecutive time. EPFG Europe.
On Sunday it was Jiujitsu’s turn, Lino Martínez was placed in a younger age category, 10 years old, where he reached his two finals with GI and without GI, losing both, one by submission and another on points, still, Lino received a standing ovation from the public who recognized his good work despite losing and therefore achieving two European Runners-up.
Lino returns to Tui and the Eurocidade Tui-Valença of which he is always proud to represent with three medals, a gold in Judo and two silvers in Jiujitsu.
His next departure will be at the end of November to Las Palmas to compete in the Spanish Master Championship.
