Every Friday evening, ten men and women play badminton in a friendly and fun manner in the De Vlinder sports hall. They call themselves ZinInBadminton and for good reason. The enthusiasm radiates, without becoming overly fanatical. ‘We all want to win, but remain sporty. We don’t deal with corpses,’ laughs Anton Ebbers, co-founder of the club. ‘We play about five doubles matches in an evening in an ever-changing composition. So you meet everyone from the club several times and rarely go home without winning.’ ‘But’, says Henk Meeuwsen, treasurer of ZinInBadminton, ‘we rent three courts, of which we usually only use two and that is of course a shame. We are looking for new members! Anyone between the ages of 18 and 81 who has moved beyond camping badminton and wants to have a good whack-a-mole now and then can join us.’ You can then come and play a few times on Friday evening without obligation to experience the level and atmosphere. ZinInBadminton plays in the Vlinder sports hall, hall 1, room 2 from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Extra rackets are provided. For more information, please contact Henk Meeuwsen (06-30155676).
