Last Sunday, during the interval of the Crifo Wines Ruvo di Puglia – Herons Montecatini match, the Pallacanestro-Talos Basket Ruvo di Puglia company awarded the Paralympic champion Luca Mazzone, after his successes at the Paris Paralympics and the Zurich World Championships.
Mazzone spoke of his love for sport and proposed to the management of the Ruvese company to make a donation to the mission of Sister Maria Mazzone, in Zambia, in order to complete the construction of a school. A proposal that was favorably received by Pallacanestro Ruvo di Puglia to which the champion extends warm thanks.
«Good is not said but good deeds are told so that they become examples to follow – comments Luca Mazzone -. My prize was this, in addition to the embrace of those present and of my physio Luca Sabino Mangiatordi (also physiotherapist at Crifo Wines Ruvo, ed)”. Furthermore, last October 5, Mazzone was awarded the 2024 City of Terlizzi Special Award for his sporting merits.
