Jakarta, tvOnenews.com – Indonesian National Team goalkeeper, Maarten Paes, gave his reaction after his goal was broken into by China twice in the third round match of Group C of the 2026 World Cup Qualifications in the Asian zone.
The 26 year old goalkeeper actually performed quite well by making a number of important saves in the match which was held at the Qingdao Youth Football Stadium, Tuesday (15/10/2024) evening WIB.
However, Maarten Paes was forced to collect the ball from the net twice in the match which China won with a narrow score of 2-1.
China’s winning goals against Maarten Paes were scored through the actions of Baihelamu Abuduwaili (21′) and Zhang Yuning (44′).
Meanwhile, the Indonesian national team only got one goal back through Thom Haye’s kick from inside the penalty box in the 86th minute.
The Indonesian national team actually appeared very dominant by having 76 percent control of the ball, compared to China which only controlled 24 percent.
