Madrid will host the second edition of the Inclusive Games on October 17 – MonitorExpresso.com

Spain. – The second edition of the Inclusive Games will take place on October 17 in Madrid, bringing together more than 300 Olympic and Paralympic athletes from various parts of the world.

Organized by the Sanitas Foundation Chair of Inclusive Sports Studies and Bupa, in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Madrid, this event aims to make visible the importance of inclusion in sport.

From 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., athletes with and without disabilities will compete together in 14 disciplines, including athletics, swimming, judo, badminton and wheelchair basketball. This format demonstrates that joint competition in high-performance sports is possible and enriching.

Among the participants are international figures such as the Mexican Paralympic athlete Jessica García Quijano and the Chilean Mariana Zúñiga.

The inclusive regulations designed for each discipline have been developed in collaboration with sports federations and the Higher Sports Council, guaranteeing fair competition.

The Inclusive Games are an important step towards global inclusion in sport, supported by the new Sports Law in Spain, which encourages the creation of inclusion commissions in all federations. The Sanitas Foundation and Bupa, organizers of the event, seek to expand this initiative to other cities in Europe and Latin America, reinforcing their commitment to a more equitable society.
