Major competition day for Kirchheim badminton teams – local sport

With a full home game day for all three Kirchheim badminton teams, the season really begins on Saturday afternoon. In the state league there will be a local derby with newly promoted SG Göppingen/Schlierbach in the Ludwig-Uhland sports hall from 3 p.m. before the evening game against TSV Heubach at 7 p.m.

After the hard-fought 5:3 victory over MTV Stuttgart at the start, the Kirchheimers want to improve. Opponent Göppingen, who have already been promoted and relegated twice, want to do better this season and started the season with a 5:3 win against TSV Heubach. An initial assessment of where things will go for both teams. You shouldn’t underestimate the opponent, but success should still be possible given VfL’s strong performance at the start of the season. VfL is also aiming for a double point win in the second game in the evening against TSV Heubach. Michael Claus’ team will compete in full, including Martin Stojan, who was missing on the first day of the match.

There are two local derbies in the district league. The second team from VfL meets the promotion hopefuls TG Nürtingen, the third team receives the TSV Wendlingen II. Both games start at 3 p.m. After the Stuttgart clubs were regrouped into the local district league, TG Nürtingen is the best-placed team last season and raises hopes of promotion. The young Kirchheim team around Jannik Gölz also wants this, after they had paid the hard way for a long time and only had their first successes in the second half of last season.

A start has already been made. In the club’s internal duel on the first match day against the third team from VfL there was a 6-2 win. The newly registered third team around Jürgen Fischer wants to score surprising points against the established teams with a mixture of established players and young up-and-coming players. The evening games with VfL II against TSV Wendlingen II and VfL III against TG Nürtingen1 start at 6 p.m. jf
