Man Utd want to sign tall striking sensation with a formidable goalscoring record – report

Manchester United are one of the clubs following the progress of Liefering striker Kenneth Adejenughure closely, according to the Guardian.

The 17-year-old sensation is also on the radar of Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan, and more clubs would have him on their radar after his heroics at youth level.

The Guardian described Adejenughure as a “tall striker with a formidable goalscoring record at youth level,” and Man United would love to recruit his services if he can replicate that form at senior level after joining Red Bull Salzburg’s reserve team in the Austrian second division.

He impressed former interim Red Devils manager Ralf Rangnick in the summer after the Austria national team boss held a four-day camp for young players.

The 66-year-old tipped Adejenughure to develop into a top star, and Man United and others have been regularly watching him, and scouts around Europe seem to agree with the assessment of the veteran tactician.

The 6ft 1in Red Devils target notched 16 goals in 20 games for RB Salzburg’s under-18s last term before catching the eyes of European clubs after bagging four goals for Austria at the under-17s European Championship in May.

He already has a goal in one UEFA Youth League game this term and a goal in eight games for Liefering, and is slowly establishing himself as a first-team regular.

Man United have been focusing on signing young players under new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, and a move for Adejenughure could be on the cards if he keeps impressing at senior level.

The Red Devils already have 16-year-old Denmark youth international striker Chido Obi-Martin within their youth ranks after he joined them from Arsenal in the summer, but they will continue to bolster their options, and the Austrian sensation could be next to join them.
