Marc Marquez crash out in the Q2 qualifying session in three of the last four series MotoGP 2024. This seems to have made the Gresini Racing MotoGP rider give special focus to the same session at the 2024 Australian MotoGP.

“Today we started well, but tomorrow we will do qualifying practice (in free practice 2) and we’ll see how it goes.”

“That session will give us answers about what we can do in the sprint and then during (the race) on Sunday,” he said.

The weather was an obstacle in this Friday’s session (18/10/2024). This even resulted in the Free Practice 1 session being canceled due to pouring rain.

In the process, Marc Marquez managed to show off his speed in the Practice session by recording the best time. This ensures that he will qualify for the Q2 qualifying session for the 2024 Australian MotoGP, Saturday (18/10) tomorrow.

Before appearing in the Q2 qualifying session, Marc Marquez will still have the opportunity to polish his preparations through the Free Practice 2 session before then trying to fight for the leading starting position.

During his time in MotoGP, Marc Marquez has won three times at the Phillip Island anti-clockwise circuit, namely in 2015, 2017 and 2019.
