Mariana Carrillo, national judo champion, visited the director of IMDEJ

The young promise of judo, Mariana Deneb Carrillo Rodríguez, made a special visit this Wednesday to the director of the Municipal Institute of Sports and Physical Culture of Juárez, Juan Escalante, to show her impressive achievements in this sporting discipline.

At only 7 years old, Mariana has conquered everyone’s hearts by demonstrating her skill on the tatami, managing to win the gold medal in various tournaments at the municipal and national level. Dressed in her impeccable white judogi and yellow ribbon around her waist, the young champion proudly displayed the four gold medals she has recently won in competitions in Morelia, Michoacán; Querétaro, Veracruz and Monterrey.

Mariana, who in addition to being a promise in judo stands out in her third grade studies at the Lions Club Primary School, highlighted the importance of this discipline in her life, pointing out that it gives her confidence and helps her improve herself . With the unconditional support of her parents, who accompany her to all her competitions, Mariana feels supported and ready to face new challenges in her sports career.

The director of the IMDEJ, Juan Escalante, assured that he will continue to support Mariana in her sports career and was enthusiastic about the potential of the young judoka, predicting that she could become a world champion in the near future. Mariana, for her part, revealed her daily routine that includes studies, training and competitions, demonstrating her commitment and passion for judo.

With her eyes set on the future, Mariana is preparing to compete in the 2024 Judotechnics Cup that will take place next November in Mexico City, where she will surely leave the name of her country high and continue to inspire many with his talent and dedication in the world of judo.
