Meet an employee: Nina Vedsø

What is your job title?

What are your job duties?

  • I am 1/3 member service employee, and then I am 2/3 project coordinator for Viable clubs. As a member service worker, I answer emails and phone inquiries, and it can be about a lot of different things. For example: Problems with changing clubs, explanation of how the ranking works, help with team tournaments, etc. As project coordinator for Viable clubs, my task is to create networks between the clubs so that they can help each other solve various problems they experience in the clubs.

What are you doing at work right now?

  • I work a lot with Viable clubs at the moment. I map the already established networks, and then I try to connect them with the clubs that are part of Viable clubs. Here I work a lot with DGI, where I have good cooperation with the regional consultants in particular. In addition, I have just started a Facebook page, which will share the project’s development, and then it must describe the networks I visit, so that I can highlight their good ideas and in that way encourage the clubs to become members of a network.

What do you do when you are not at work?

  • I have always been very keen on badminton. It has been a part of my life since I was very small, so today I sit on a club and a district board. Then I have a family that I really like to be with. I have two children who have moved away from home, so being with them is a high priority.

Do you have any hobbies?

  • I used to play badminton myself, and now I play sometimes just for fun with my children. I also like to do different voluntary work. For example, I was a volunteer at the VICTOR DENMARK OPEN in 2023, before I had officially started in the office.

What did you work with before coming to Badminton Denmark?

  • I have previously been in the service industry, e.g. in an amusement park, as an old lady and in a hotel. Then I am trained as a dramaturg and in that connection have taught at the teacher education program, since drama was part of the curriculum. I have also worked with vulnerable young people at production schools with a focus on abuse, psychological challenges and their physique, so I have actually worked very project-oriented throughout my life.
