The Indonesian national team is scheduled to host Bahrain on March 25 2025 in the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifications in the Asian Zone, the eighth match of Group C.
However, the Bahrain Football Federation (BFA) refused to play in Indonesia. They admitted to receiving death threats from Indonesian netizens after receiving attack after attack.
Dito Ariotedjo together with the Chairman of PSSI, Erick Thohir, are also willing to guarantee Bahrain’s security while in Indonesia. So, they feel there should be no reason for Bahrain to be reluctant to play in Jakarta.
