MORELIA, Mich., October 15, 2024.- With the aim of promoting the discipline after the popularity it achieved this year with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the capital of Michoacán will host the National Professor Tournament from October 17 to 20 Daniel F. Hernández 2024, in which the participation of around 700 judokas is expected in search of improving their position in the national ranking.

As this is a contest organized by the State Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (Cecufid) and the National System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF Michoacán), a total of 65 selected candidates will represent our state, among which 32 stand out. the artemartialists of the Samuray Club of the DIF Michoacán.

“After the Olympic medal won by Prisca Awiti in Paris 2024, there has been great interest among children in this sport, so in an effort by DIF Michoacán, we managed to bring us this rankable event where our students from Club Samuray and of the Michoacán Judo Association,” said Sergio García Malfavón, director of Childhood for Children of the DIF Michoacán System.
