According to the report filed by the school’s chairman, Dr. Chandan Aggarwal, talks were held with Vedprakash Sharma to build a basketball court and lawn tennis court in the school. For which he was given Rs 3.20 lakh. It was decided to use this money to repair the old court and build a new court. Rs 1.20 lakh was given as advance on 4th May 2024 and Rs 1.30 lakh was given on 16th May. But even after taking the money, the contractor did not work in the school and embezzled the money.

The contractor took the money for children’s school fees

According to the report lodged by the chairman, the contractor had demanded cash from him. They did this because the contractor had told them that labor has to be paid and they only take cash. Out of this money, the contractor took a UPI transfer of thirty thousand rupees. For which it told that they have to send payment for the material required for making it.

Work was to start from May 25

According to the report, the contractor was to start the work from May 25 but it did not happen. When the contractor was called, he told that he was struggling with family problems. Then after a few days he said that brother is ill and time passed like this. But he did not start the work. On June 20, the contractor messaged on WhatsApp that his brother had passed away. Whose photo he also sent. According to the report, the chairman also told him that the time for opening of children’s school was near, on which he told him to get the court work done by someone else. Will start sending your money from 28th June. According to the report, the contractor stopped picking up the phone after June 28.

Inspector Nawabganj Dinanath Mishra said- A report has been registered on the complaint of the school chairman. How the money was transferred and whether there is any footage of money transaction is being ascertained. The matter will be settled soon.
