Lugi is seventh in the Herrallsvenskan after only two victories in six rounds. Now the club acts – Nemanja Milosevic is fired as head coach and Pelle Käll replaces him for the rest of the season, Lugi announces in a press release.

Nemanja Milosevic has been the head coach of Lugi for a little over two seasons and although results have not gone Lugi’s way during that time, it is important to remember that the club has gone through a financial crisis with a weakened playing squad as a result.

And the start of the season in Herallsvenskan has not looked promising. Lugi has five points after six rounds and some points as well as teams ahead of them in the table. Now the club has decided to replace Milosevic as coach and instead bring in the burgundy legend Pelle Källs as a replacement, at least for the rest of the season.

– When LUGI calls, it is clear that you stand up. It is my parent club and I have a lot of feelings for the club. It’s an exciting challenge and I look forward to developing the young squad we have, says Pelle Käll in the press release.

At the same time, Lugi announces that they intend to find a permanent solution for the coaching post for next season.

– The association would like to thank Nemanja Milosevic for his time as head coach where he really put in the effort with a warm LUGI heart. Now we look forward to a new chapter in the club’s history when we bring in another club legend in the form of Pelle Käll, says club manager Emme Adébo.
