Japan’s space industry is booming with the entry of new players, including large companies and companies from other industries, and the momentum is rapidly accelerating, with the number of domestic startups said to have exceeded 100. Furthermore, the Space Strategy Fund*1, which began soliciting applications in July of this year, is expected to further promote the growth of the private space industry. This year, the “JAXA Space Strategy Fund Division*1” will set up a base in Nihonbashi, and a new space business base will open in January next year, making the space industry even more exciting in both the public and private sectors based in Nihonbashi. Overview of this event

  • NIHONBASHI SPACE WEEK 2024, one of Asia’s largest space business events, will be held for the fourth time in the Nihonbashi area, where industry, government, and academia companies and organizations that lead the space industry are gathering.
  • This year, many foreign public institutions, companies, and organizations are participating, including the European Space Agency (ESA). More than 100 domestic and international companies and organizations participated, and more than 150 people spoke on stage.

Event content details

During the event, in addition to the exhibition “-EXHIBITION-” where more than 60 space business organizations will exhibit, a variety of business conferences and other events will be held, bringing the forefront of space business to Nihonbashi. Numerous space-related events will be held over the five-day period, and networking events for related parties will also be held at various locations in the Nihonbashi area.
