MLB World Series, Dodgers ahead 2-0 over the Yankees, but Ohtani’s shoulder is a concern

The World Series most awaited in the last 40 years began with a bang and with two victories by the Los Angeles Dodgers over the New York Yankees. On the West Coast, two heart-pounding matches took place: the first was decided in the extra-inning, the second with a sensational comeback that was not achieved by the New Yorkers. Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtanithe two most anticipated stars, however, have not yet assumed the prominence that was expected. The Japanese also conceded in game 2 a shoulder injury that forced him out. “A little subluxation of the left shoulder,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. His condition will be evaluated with an MRI, but the team staff expects to have him available for the next matches.

The two teams broke the deadlock only in the 5th inning, with the 1-0 of the Dodgers signed by Enrique Hernandez with a spectacular slide towards home plate. In the following half the Yankees overturned the result with a home run by Giancarlo Stanton, which brought the game to 1-2. A “sacrifice fly” by Beets allows the Los Angelesnians to tie in the eighth inning. After a ninth without reversals, we go to an extra-inning which turns out to be explosive. New York takes the lead. It seems over, Freddie Freeman has a different opinion: hits a historic walk-off grand slam – a home run with all bases occupied, which means 4 runs – which gives the Dodgers a 6-3 victory.

The second challenge of the series starts with some more emotion. In the second inning Los Angeles took the lead 1-0 with a home run by Tommy Edman, immediately returned by Yankee Juan Soto in the next inning. At this point she is proud ofhomerun. Hernandez scores two points for his team. Freeman follows closely and the Dodgers go 4-1.
