GABLE. 308 minutes and 18 seconds.
That’s how long it took Modo to score an away goal in the SHL again – when Johan Södergran reduced against Brynäs.
– I know it’s hard right now, but I think we can get out of this, says Södergran.
Modo’s first away goal of the season is a fact.
The supporters were forced to wait for over seven months before it came off.
After falling behind 0–2 against Brynäs on Monday evening, the puck landed with Johan Södergran.
The forward was clinical and scored his fourth goal of the season.
Modo’s first away goal in 308 minutes and 18 seconds (counted over both seasons).
“Too much Hawaii hockey”
But it didn’t help much.
Despite Södergran then playing Måns Carlsson for an equaliser, Brynäs ran away.
With 2.25 left in the second period, Anton Rödin scored the lead goal and five minutes into the third period, Bobby Trivigno scored the fourth.
In an empty net, Oskar Lindblom then established the final result 5–2 with his second goal of the match.
– I think there is too much Hawaii hockey, says Johan Södergran.
Brynä’s goal scorer Anton Rödin was satisfied with the team’s effort.
– We are a little careless and invite them back in the match, but then it is strong to come back and turn the tables again, he says.
Modo thus remains in last place in the table.
