The first semi-final match of Maa Durga Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament was played between Motihari vs All Rounder XI Chapra team on Wednesday in the playground of local Mahadev Sah Higher Secondary School. After winning the toss, Motihari team captain Amit Chandra decided to bowl first. Chhapra team scored 156 runs in 16 overs after losing 9 wickets under the captaincy of Rajkumar. In response, Motihari team scored 159 runs losing 3 wickets in 14.4 overs and won the match by 7 wickets. Batsman Chhotu Singh scored 65 runs on 35 balls. Mrityunjay led Motihari’s team to victory by scoring 55 runs on 35 balls. Man of the match was given to bowler Kunal, the player of Motihari. Earlier on Wednesday morning, the remaining 11 overs of the match played on Tuesday took place between Chhapra and Kushinagar teams. In which Chhapra team defeated Kushinagar by 3 wickets and reached the first semi-final of the tournament. Commentary was done by Sanoj Kumar, Priyanshu Srivastava and Akash Kumar. Mohd. Naseem Akhtar and Manoj Yadav were the umpires of the match. Ashish Chandan and Rana Randhir were the scorers.
