MotoGP: pole position for Bagnaia in Thailand – Last hour

Francesco Bagnaia, second in the world championship, wins pole position for the sprint race and for the Thai Grand Prix. His was the best time in qualifying.


The Ducati rider broke the record for the fastest lap in Buriram, during a session marked by the crashes of general classification leader Jorge Martin (Ducati-Pramac), and Marc Marquez (Ducati-Gresini).


“Pecco” precedes teammate Enea Bastianini.


Martin completes the first line. Bagnaia is twenty points behind Martin, ahead of Saturday’s sprint race and Sunday’s Grand Prix. Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) bounced back after a disappointing time on Friday. Author of the best time in the repechage, he earned the second row, with the 6th time in qualifying. Johann Zarco (Honda-LCR), 12th fastest, will start from the 4th row.
