Muslera Makes Headlines: 12,000 Fans Celebrate as He Buys a Street in Heartwarming Gesture

Galatasaray’s captain Fernando Muslera came to the fore today with the news that he bought Sportivo Bella Italia, which competes in the Uruguayan 3rd League. It was revealed that the 38-year-old experienced goalkeeper also bought a street.

According to the news in the Uruguayan press; Muslera paid 266 thousand dollars for a street in the Maldonado district. For this sale approved by the municipality, Mayor Alexandro Infante emphasized that Muslera is a citizen who lives and invests in Maldonado, and stated that the sale is not only about a famous name.

However, the local people are reactive. More than 12,000 signatures were collected against this project, expressing concerns that a project in Punta Ballena would lead to environmental changes.

Drawing attention to the urgency of the period, opposition party representative Jorge Pieri stated that Muslera’s request was handled quickly. Pieri stated that this hasty process did not allow for an in-depth examination and emphasized that the situation was “not sufficiently justified”.

It was noted that the street that Muslera bought was located in a dense residential area and the sale was subject to criticism because it did not have a social function.
