Mustang Beats Tigres Rojos and Scores Regional Women’s Softball Tournament

Championship continues next Saturday at the Salvador Allende Avenue diamond

Attractive games were played on the second date of the Regional Women’s Softball Championship organized by the Iquique Baseball Association and which takes place at the Salvador Allende Avenue baseball diamond with Manuel Castro Ramos.

In the most disputed match of the day, the Mustang team narrowly defeated Tigres Rojo by 6 runs to 5, while, in the other match held, Leonas Blancas beat Tigres Amarillas by a large score of 24 runs to 4, demonstrating clear dominance in each of the innings, scoring consecutive runs that allowed him to take a comfortable victory.

This championship is held weekly and will run until mid-November and with two dates already played, the standings are headed by the Mustang team, followed by Leonas Azules, Leonas Blancas, Tigres Rojos and Tigres Amarillos.

The third date to be played on Saturday the 19th, records the matches that must be held at 10:00 a.m., Blue Lions with Mustang and at 12:00 p.m., White Lions with Red Tigers.

Fourth date, October 26: Red Tigers vs. Blue Lionesses and at 12:00 p.m., Mustang vs. Yellow Tigers

Fifth date, November 9: White Lionesses vs. Blue Lionesses and at 12:00 p.m., Yellow Tigers vs. Red Tigers.

The objective of the contest is to prepare local players for upcoming tournaments at the national and international level, mainly for the Three Borders International Tournament to be held in Iquique, on January 24, 24 and 26 of next year, with the participation of teams from Argentina, Bolivia and Chile.
