Napoli Basket, the signing of Ben Bentil is official

Second reinforcement made official by Napoli Basket. Ben Bentil arrives to enrich coach Igor Milicic‘s long department. Bentil, from Ghana, is a 206cm tall pivot forward born in 1995. He started in Ghana but his basketball training is American. He comes from Hapoel Tel Aviv where he also played two Eurocup matches this season before arriving in the Gulf of Naples.

At 15 he attended the Haverford School in Pennsylvania and then St. Andrew’s School in Delaware. In 2014 he transferred to Providence College. Selected by the Boston Celtics in the 2016 NBA draft, he had experiences with the Indiana Pacers and the Dallas Mavericks, then in the G-League with Fort Wayne and subsequently at Xinjiang in China, Chalon in France, Bilbao in Spain, and Peristeri Athens in Greece. In 2019, he moved to Panathinaikos where in two years he played 54 EuroLeague games with 258 points scored and 128 rebounds captured.

With “Pana” in 2021 he won both the Greek Cup and the Hellenic Championship.
