The <a href="https://www.archysport.com/2022/01/nfl-raiders-defeated-chargers-in-final-play-in-overtime/" title="NFL: Raiders defeated Chargers in final play in overtime”>Indianapolis Colts narrowly lost the division duel with the Houston Texans in the NFL under Bernhard Raimann.
The 27-year-old Viennese’s team suffered their fourth defeat in their eighth game of the season, 20:23. For the Texans around quarterback CJ Stroud, however, it was the sixth success; Houston also won the season opener in September with a 29:27 in Indianapolis.
Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson only completed ten of his 32 pass attempts when star running back Jonathan Taylor returned, and the offense around left tackle Raimann had great difficulties.
A Taylor touchdown made the final phase even more exciting, but the comeback was no longer successful. This means the Texans already have a decisive advantage in the fight for the playoffs in the AFC South.
Jets remain on the ground
The New York Jets had to accept a surprising defeat, the sixth of the current season, with star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Jets were defeated by the New England Patriots 22:25, although Patriots quarterback Drake Maye was injured early on.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions celebrated a 52:14 win against the Tennessee Titans, their sixth win in their seventh game of the season.
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa narrowly missed a victory with the Miami Dolphins in their comeback after a week-long break due to another concussion. The Arizona Cardinals celebrated a 28:27 victory in Florida thanks to a field goal shortly before the end.
The Cleveland Browns surprisingly had the upper hand against the Baltimore Ravens 29:24. Backup quarterback Jameis Winston impressed with three touchdown passes.
The Green Bay Packers moved their season record to 6-2 with a 30-27 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but lost Jordan Love to an injury in the second quarter.
The Philadelphia Eagles win at the Cincinnati Bengals 37:17. The Atlanta Falcons beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road 31:26.
