ASPTT Strasbourg (3) – Dommartemont 7-1
After its initial draw against Basse-Ham, the DBC team suffered a heavy defeat against ASPTT Strasbourg (3) and its young talents. If the first rotation saw the two teams each pocket a double, the rest of the events would prove much more delicate for the Lorraines. The latter were indeed going to suffer the lightning of two very young nuggets who were going to lose the meeting. We found the Ardennese Menegazzi-Briquet, just transferred to Alsace, who at only 12 years old shattered Azou (21-9/21-14) before Massias (15 years old) brought down poor Bechet (21- 16/21-13), powerless on this one.
The locals had the good idea to combine the two young people in mixed doubles with once again success, since these two made the Robert/Scarpellini pair bite the dust (16-21/21-18/21 -11) just after the logical victory of the Alsatian Geitner over Gircourt in women’s singles (21-19/21-14). The score had just definitively shifted in favor of Strasbourg and the last two mixed and singles only increased the score for a defeat tinged with bitterness for President Sébastien Rimbert: “Strasbourg had fielded a big team, as they often do at home. And we had some physical problems which didn’t help our affairs, we could have taken a defensive point. It’s not a great start to the season, but we will have better days. »
