NBA: De’Aaron Fox probably rejects extension with the Sacramento Kings

Accordingly, Fox and his advisor Rich Paul (Klutch Sports) want to put themselves in a position to get an even bigger contract next summer. After this season, Fox would be eligible to sign for four years and a maximum of $229 million. If he is selected to an All-NBA team, he could even sign a supermax deal for five years and $345 million.

Fox has already made it publicly clear that he wants to stay in Sacramento long-term. According to ESPN, owner Vivek Ranadive‘s front office worked closely with Fox this summer and included him in all key decisions surrounding the team’s future.

Last season, the guard put up a career-high of 26.6 points per game, but he narrowly missed the playoffs with the Kings due to a loss in the play-in against the New Orleans Pelicans.
