Last night, Kevin Durant led the Phoenix Suns to a win against the Dallas Mavericks with 31 points. In addition to the team’s success, KD was also able to immortalize himself personally once again in the history books of the NBA. In the final quarter, he sank a difficult three-pointer in transition, which made him the eighth player in NBA history with 29,000 points.
“He’s a once-in-a-generation talent,” said his coach Mike Budenholzer about the sniper after the game. Since entering the NBA, Durant has made a name for himself as a scorer whose shots are unstoppable even by the best defenders in the league. “I still have more to do,” Durant announced after the game.
The next player he needs to pass on the all-time scoring list is Wilt Chamberlain, but he’s still over 2,000 points away. After that, Dirk Nowitzki would be waiting…
