NBA News: Moses Moody extends with Golden State Warriors
Moses Moody will stay with the Golden State Warriors for a long time. The guard has signed a new three-year contract worth a total of $39 million. The deal is considered team-friendly. ESPNReporter Shams Charania first reported.
The Warriors selected the American with 14th place in the 2021 NBA draft. Moody is now entering his fourth season in San Francisco and also the final year of his rookie contract. Since this summer he was entitled to an extension, which is what has now happened. This means that the Golden State guard will remain in place until the 2027/28 season.
After some initial difficulties, Moody took a good step forward last season and increased his output from 4.8 to 8.1 points per game. “He’s playing great. He’s gotten better in so many things,” confirmed coach Steve Kerr. Most recently, he impressed again in the preseason with an average of 15.5 points per game on 45.6 percent from the field and 39.4 percent from the three-point line.
