NBA: Rudy Gobert, the Frenchman Americans love to hate

The NBA left Rudy Gobert at the beginning of the summer with a Conference final with the Minnesota Timberwolves, a title of best defender of the year (the 4th of his career, a record) and the hopes of an Olympic title with the French team. The American League finds a slightly different Frenchman this Tuesday, October 22, for the first day and a trip to the Los Angeles Lakers.

His Wolves team offloaded one of its best assets, Karl-Anthony Towns (“KAT”), transferred to New York, raising doubts about his ability to compete for the title again. Above all, the French pivot had to digest the Olympic Games which ended in bitterness, relegated to the bench after a very difficult group phase.
