NBA: Toumani Camara and Portland start their season with a big defeat (video)

Toumani Camara and Portland began their NBA season, the North American basketball league, with a large defeat at home against Golden State (104-139) on Wednesday.

Author of a good pre-season, Camara started the game in the starting five to play 29 minutes and compile 11 points (3/8 shooting and 3/4 free throws), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 interceptions. The Brussels resident, however, was unable to avoid the collapse of his team against the Warriors, led by Stephen Curry close to the triple-double (17 points, 10 assists, 9 rebounds).

In the other matches of the evening, Milwaukee, in Philadelphia, and Phoenix, at the Los Angeles Clippers won the two posters of the evening. The Bucks were able to rely on their two stars Damian Lillard (30 points) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (25 points) to overcome Sixers deprived of Joel Embiid and Paul George (109-124). The Suns had to win overtime before gaining the upper hand over the Clippers, who inaugurated their new venue, the Inuit Dome, thanks in particular to Kevin Durant (25 points) and Bradley Beal (24 points).

Indiana, finalist of the Eastern Conference last season, launched its season with a victory in Detroit (109-115) and Orlando, the pleasant surprise in 2023-2024, won the Florida derby in Miami (97-116). Atlanta beat Brooklyn (120-116), Cleveland won in Toronto (106-136) and Charlotte surprised Houston (105-110). New Orleans won against Chicago (123-111) and Memphis got the better of Utah (124-126).
