FREIE VÄHLER find out about start-up companies – mobile phone expansion and the digital future in focus

As part of the 5-year celebration of the Parsberg-Lupburg technology campus and the Digital Start-up Center (DGZ), the Free Voters emphasized their committed support for regional start-ups and innovations. State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt underlined the innovative power of rural areas during a tour: “The companies presented here impressively show the enormous potential that our region has.”

Neumarkt’s deputy district administrator Martin Meier praised the role of the Parsberg campus: “This center is a seed for the next generation of founders and shows that economic success is also possible outside of the large metropolises.” This is “a blessing” especially for the southern district. . There is a “global race for innovative minds” in business and science, says Meier. “You can find some of them here,” which is why funding such technology projects is high on the agenda for him in the future direction of our district.

Sebastian Schauer, deputy FW parliamentary group leader in the district council, highlighted the recent successes in mobile phone expansion: “Thanks to the hard work of Mayor Christian Graf, the first funded mobile phone mast in the Upper Palatinate was put into operation in Hohenfels. The next project will follow in Breitenbrunn with the inauguration at the beginning of November. These projects are crucial for expanding the digital infrastructure in rural areas and offer local people the necessary conditions for a strong future.”

Together with Hohenfels Mayor Christian Graf and Seubersdorf’s Third Mayor Karl Solfrank, we visited the Laber-Naab-Infrastructure GmbH (LNI) stand. Its managing director René Meyer explained the LNI’s unique cooperation in Bavaria with 47 municipalities in the Neumarkt and Regensburg districts as well as Telekom Deutschland. Only through modern fiber optic coverage and stable networks could start-ups realize their ideas and continue to grow. Meyer said that the support was perceived positively and appealed to politicians to continue to focus on it. “In doing so, they are creating the important foundation for a strong Neumarkt business location in difficult economic times,” says Meyer.
